Commissioned construction works of Garsen-Witu-Lamu road to bitumen standard on arrival in Witu, Lamu County. The 135 kilometre road project starts at Garsen junction with the Malindi-Garissa road and ends at Mokowe in Lamu. The project starts at Garsen junction with the Malindi – Garissa Road in Tana River County, where there is existing bitumen paved road. The road runs in an easterly direction through Witu & ends at Mokowe Jetty in Lamu County, where the ferry connects to Lamu Island.

Yaani hii contract ilitoka China Wuyi hivyo, they had the lowest bid but ile rule ya local ownership over ruled that and the local company with the lowest bid won. Tho. questions were raised whether H-Young is really local coz. some Israeli guys have a big share holding in the company.

I agree with you but sometimes you are forced to balance things and realize if KeNHA canceled the tender then we are looking at years of delay as it would end up in court. The key is that China Wu Yi/KeNHA/H-Young entered into arbitration, agreed to let H-Young have this project and they in turn stop all other litigation the have with either parties in other projects. Now its upto KeNHA to enforce timelines and reinforce quality checks so that Kenyan’s get value for money that Chinese construction firms are associated with.

Lamu Airport first phase expansion completed.

Lamu lappset road funding Upto Isiolo secured from SA. It will now join the national grid to Nairobi and Addis Ababa through the Nairobi, Isiolo-Moyale brand new beautiful highway. Yesterday this project was launched to also connect Lamu to Mombasa onwards to Dar.

Lamu port 3 berth port is ahead of schedule and by 2018 the other 32 berths will be awarded by PPP.

The high voltage lines from Mombasa to Lamu is ongoing.

Tullow, African Oil and Mersk have completed their plans to bid for the Lokichar-Lamu pipeline. Ministry of Energy is due to announce tender bids once oil exploration is complete and final reserves independently confirmed.

Jubilee is on steroids when it comes to development.

didn’t the high court rule that title deeds from 2013 we illegal due to some forms not being aligned with the NLC?
we were given one year to sort it out yet Uhuru is still giving deeds.
Uhuru ni bandia!
