Jubilee Big 4 Agenda (Manufacturing) Northlands Nairobi Gate Industrial Park Phase 1

The entire project will be complete in phases over the next 50 years. The Kenyatta family will only provide the land. Actis-Improvon has been picked as the private investor who will fund the entire project build. They will build the plants needed and lease them to manufacturers, logistics firms and firms in need of storage warehouses. Both Mama Ngina and President Uhuru will be lucky to see it completed in 50 years. The first phase will lead to 10,000 manufacturing jobs on completion.

give me a beep when the agenda is about diminishing poverty and hunger . i just cant afford reading too much

In 50 years human beings will not be doing manufacturing jobs. They need a faster implementation.

where will they get water from?

It’s a really stupid strategy. The role of AI and automation in today’s and tomorrow’s world has been completely ignored.

Hope he uses the time he is i power to push for the expansion of eastern bypass, with all the industrial parks coming up along that stretch the road will be a nightmare.
All in all a good project, if the guys with the large tracts of land developed the same it would be better than the land just sitting idle, I also noticed kabogo and moses kuria did a very good job with roads in gatundu, very decent roads leading into the interior.

Not many, their are still very many manufacturers out there who are producing without fully automated machinery. Even in the electronic industry not all use them. They are also wise to base their plans on conservative estimates. Investing $100 million or Kshs 10 billion a year on this project is doable and easy to plan out. It allows them to get in manufacturers to take up plants and recoup their investment as the expand progressively. The key part here is that they have secured a proven and financially able investor to put up the plants and infrastructure. Now they will either tap on their own clients to take up spaces or look for more. That means the implementation will be faster. By the way this is Actis-Improvon third project in Kenya. They already have completed building plants in Tilisi industrial park on Rironi to Westlands road and Tatu City in Kiambu. This however is their first exclusive project developed by them.

Dualling Northern and Eastern bypass contract has already been issued. Northern bypass road should commence in October as contractor was mobilizing and awaiting for launch. Eastern bypass dualing was to start in Jan 2019.

0723…

northern collector tunnel probably

VS…what about the construction of the road that’s supposedly meant to connect the eastern bypass to Garissa road (exit/entry) somewhere near Kilimambogo?

What about it? If its water there is this ongoing project.

There are several link roads projects there by KERRA, it gets confusing at most times, let me study them then respond.

Greater Eastern Bypass it is .Woi this will take sometime though buroti maguta maguta zimeuzwa already :D:D:D.Meanwhile Eastern Bypass dualling will be a relief for many.

Actis project at Tatu City industrial Park. They set up the plant and lease it out to manufacturers. That way the manufacturer will find everything in place. The roads, power, security, water, sewerage, garbage collection, physical structures etc. All they need is configure the internal design, bring machinery, configure them and start production.

I see now why expanding the road to mombasa is such a huge deal. I approve this kabisa.

perfect, expanding that road will be vital, actually I hope they factor in the kind of developments happening around some of those areas and redesign it in a way to ease movement as much as possible - I see the tatu guys are now moving at a very decent speed, considering the proximity of the two projects the ripple effects in the surrounding ares will be good.

Eastern should be 3x3, Northern can remain 2x2, then Ruiru interchange should be clover leaf, kama Ngong Road na southern bypass
