Ali Hassan Joho has had a great upturn of fortune in recent times. Sure being the deputy party leader of ODM and the governor Mombasa County gives a greater visibility and platform, but off late he has risen to become the face of the party.
While previously he was Raila Odinga’s henchman at the coast, he has since seen his standing rise to become ODM’s focal nationwide operator. Such is how his start has risen he considers vying for presidency come 2022 elections. It has not always been this way, not until when he told off the President Uhuru Kenyatta did he capture the imagination of the whole nation.
Add this to his penchant for making news even on non-political issues like mega concerts, his flashy lifestyle and fashion and you have someone who easily makes front pages on a daily basis.
Much of these has been cultured and is encouraged by Joho himself and some like the love women have for him is added bonus that he exploits fully. To this end he has formed a group of ladies who will spearhead his campaign acting both as face and grassroots campaigners.
The group of ladies is known as Joho GMOs and they are very beautiful, youthful and charming. The ladies have been spotted at several events interacting with the crowd and helping not just cheer up the crowd but pass the message up close and personal.
