What criteria does the public service use to employ or rather shortlist people for jobs?

It should be common knowledge that most jobs are filled via internal connections before they are advertised to the public due to legal requirements. Securing an internal connection is done via bribe and has a high risk of you parting with your money. If job criteria’s mattered in Kenya, we wouldn’t have so many low iq types in govt jobs.

Hii ni kama kusema kama huna pesa ya kubribe or connections don’t even bother applying.

Parastatal yyote ikiwa na recruitment na barua ziwe zinapelekwa hard copy, enda kwa offices zao siku moja, uone applicants like 1000 people per day wanaleta barua, na wote wako na masters, wamefanya professional exams na hakuna mwenye hayuko qualified, na wote wanapigania nafasi 10, ukiwa recruiter utaanzia wapi? Tupe ile njia utatumia kuchukua watu 10 kwa watu 15,000

First of all, sijai elewa hii maneno ya kutuma hard copies. Courier services wamekula pesa yangu aki na the printing of documents? Wacha tu. I think this makes the entire shortlisting process unnecessarily long and tedious.

For starters, reduce the application days. Instead of having 3-4 weeks open for sending applications make them shorter. Then as soon as you get applications start sorting sio kuchill until deadline ifike.

Just search for Public Service Commission, create your profile and whenever there are job openings you qualify for apply. All the best.
