Jobs in Kenya - Is it that bad?

See below UN report . What is happening? How about the million jobs that were created? I thought uganda is even worse.

Watu wengi tuligraduate nao took to online writting after kulemewa na Kazi

its tough out there,…ouru will go and dry

tumekataa kazi za mkono.
it’s either ofisi au magendo

Trying showing this to the likes of @spear ndio utaona denial inakaa aje. Ooh uhuru hawezi pea kila mtu kazi, ooh Raila creating a bad environment for work, ooh young people lacking entrepreneurial spirit

I’m sure wewe hufanyi hio kazi ya mkono and trust me hata hiyo ya mkono kuna wale wanatafuta na wana kosa

I have a guy who graduated last dec. He tells me he wont mind any kind of job as long as it is a job. I have asked around and no job is forth coming.

The worst bit is trying to explain to the old folk. They just don’t get it and for many it’s just easier for them to believe the young people are lazy or too proud or something else.

I can tell you kumekauka.
Alafu employers wanataka kulipa mishahara mbaya mbaya

@spear…what is being done about this…

Another question is how did we get here… see numbers from 2013.

Weh, pitia tu pale OLX ujionee. Job imewekwa hapo ya office assistant, yeye ndio Ngolo Kante wa ofisi, afanye kazi 8am to 8pm alafu unalipwa 8k, bila health insurance au any other additions.

  1. Utawai jiendeleza aje na hii ni fare na dish pekee?

  2. Utatoa wapi time ya kujiendeleza?

Let me do it On @spear’s behalf, employers are laying off their employees and the others are waiting waiting for the election fever to subside. Kenyan politicians made sure that election times are the most uncertain times for our own security and the security of our businesses in our country!

Utaona mabadiliko makubwa sana Uhuru akirudi tena!

Another one here:

I’m ready to sell my kidney to a willing buyer – civil engineer

The system is fucked up,no policies to create jobs, ukiwa enterprenuer bado unaumizwa na taxes na bad enviroment…mara baba ana mass demos

The thing with these reports is that they only show people employed in the formal sector.
All those hawkers, mama mbogas, guys who work online are listed as unemployed. So are farmers and farm hands, watu wa mjengo n.k.

Stop lying. How stupid do you think we are? This has been the situation for several years. Ama the employers have been nervous about August 2017 since 2013?

“Out of the 832,900 new jobs, only 85,600 were formal, accounting for a paltry 10.2 per cent, which continues a long-running trend where the informal sector accounts for the bulk of new jobs.”

It means youths are taking up kazi ya mkono.

The number of graduates greatly supersedes the rate of job creation.
