japanese cars are

cheap to own and maintain. There is a car that broke shaft seals and spilt all ATF and yesterday it cost me 20 something K unexpectedly and two days of productivity. I spent 10k on ATF to make the car arrive at the mechanic’s Sitaki kusikia ata migurumo ya gari. The car had to have the engine and gearbox removed and separated to install the new seal. Yaani toyota seal iko subject to pressure na ni internal wameweka kakitu ya $3. cheapness sometimes comes with hassle. I know mercedes would come with a similar seal but likely a little bit more bulky and maybe $30. the seal probably failed due to wading in water and having it reach the bell housing which is obviously perforated here and there. I was pissed by this small issue but the mechanics told me i should try nissan and subject it to water ndio nijue makaririra kioro.

Toyota gani hio?

Avensis 1.8L. The engine was originally driving a premio.

Kusema ukweli ni premio ni vile tu najaribu kucover identity kiasi.

It’s not just jap cars, all these jalopies are only useful when in motion, zikijam , wacha tu

Madam blew up a fan sensor and the short messed up the oil viscosity sensor in the process, the darn fan sensor is actually inbuilt into one of the fans so you have to buy the full set ,the viscosity sensor is under the samp so buying sensors, fans and re-servicing a jalopy that had just been serviced set me back quite a tidy sum

I almost told her to car pool with me for a while, but nikaangaliwa with those eyes that tend to make a man’s knees turn to jelly

Masaibu…my volvo s40 is actually a mixture of volvo, ford focus, mistubishi charisma, suspension ni ya mazda, na engine ni ya peugeot…hizi gari siku hizi ukinunua umenunue logo peke yake

:D:D:D

Haha…cars can drive you crazy. They are called garage queens. Owning one is the only sure way to know cars.

:D:D:D

Wewe unajua Avensis iko na shida zake…they are not even common in Kenya.I remember them being recalled few years back coz of some malfunction on the gas pedal.

Which year?

feb 2007

Japanese cars are the cheapest to maintain. Mercedes sio mchezo. A Mercedes saloon is five times harder to maintain than a Japanese offroad.

I have one that has never coughed or sneezed for the last 7yrs.The 2004 model.I only change breakpads, tyrods, links, tyres and the ordinary service.Imefikisha mileage ya 250K.Am attached to her.Sijui nifanye nini coz it is dawning on me that.soon we might part.Ile gari nataka bila 2.5m siwezi ipata

Hizo model za kwanza kwanza zikua poa sana…jamaa flani najua ako na diesel ya 2005 with more than 350k

they are very good cars btw. my guy who made me like them back in 2009 has one with 270k last time i checked. I have two identical ones an allion from 2005 one that I rarely use because it is used by someone other people. that one never has mechanical issues and has low mileage. but the drivers have really damaged the body from what it was. the other is the premio napelekanga masafa ndefu lakini unaeza dhani ni gari mpya because it still has original factory finish on the body. i am tempted to swap the engines which is a three hour process, but i dont want to overuse the other power train very early. i am not selling them juu hazina pesa itasaidia saana. they are more useful as cars soon I will canibalize one to keep the other going.

Diesel ukichunga inaweza kaa sana.

Gari kama hiyo you keep for your kids. Ukipatia wife hiyo anagongesha mnakosana

How far can it go in terms of mileage kama saa hii iko 253k.Still run like new fuel does 14km/l

thats not a diesel. its a direct injection(D4) petrol engine 2000cc
