What were they going there to do? I bet ni chai ya saa nne na asubuhi walikua wamezoea
They are employees of the office, ridathless of who occupied it
I have seen people going to work while on leave, or even after retirement, just for a cup of tea and a newspaper and a chat with old colleagues. It’s quite sad how attached some of them get to these offices. They forget that it’s temporary.
It gets worse if they were given government housing and a car. They get attached and believe wao ndio serikali yenyewe.
There is a certain level of government kila mtu anajua when the boss goes pia wewe anza kujipanga since the new one will come with his people.
Especially Personal Assistants… Na bodyguards
This is not how the government should work. Civil servants should not be “political appointees” so that when whoever brought them in leaves, they are also forced to leave.
Kwani hakuna job security
Leave govt workers alone. Some have been there since wakati wa Moi. Politicians come and go and they should not mess govt workers lives.
Also govt workers are assigned to departments to work in. Just because the head of the department has been dismissed it doesnt mean you are also dismissed, you continue serving under the new head of dept.
PAs and body guards are govt officers and should be redeployed not dismissed. Even former DCI chief Kinoti was redeployed.
Yes they are being redeployed they were told to go on leave wanarudi ofisini nini. They should wait for redeplyment.
Mfanyikazi yeyote akipatiwa fully paid leave + allowances, atulie na kubond na familia, hasaa wakati huu shule zinapofungwa. sio kuvalia sandals na kuelekeza pua kazini.
Why should be they be sent on leave? The departments under the DP office should continue running until a new head is appointed. Even during and after an election all those working under the OP continue with their jobs.
The should wait for deployment. Wanawashwa na nini?
Africans will start living quality lives the day they will realise the importance of institutions. The office of the DP is an institution.
Kinoti alienda wapi
That’s to be expected since most of these guys come from rural areas with mud houses with those dish tu-racks outside the house. That’s why they are so defensive of government things because a new administration means it’s back to pit latrine life.
