At 90% of total votes counted; Cde CIC Julius Celo Malema has scooped 1, 350,059 MILLION votes, over 45 MPs in parliament and managed to form the OFFICIAL opposition in more than 4 provinces.

This is no mean achievement considering

  1. EFF was founded in 2013

  2. D. A was founded around 1959 but it branded to adopt the current name in 2000.

  3. ANC was founded in 1901.

D. A is a conglomeration of white sympathizers and descendants of apartheid criminals. They have the money, in Malema they saw an existential threat hence they turned out in their numbers to flesh D. A.

ANC is the incumbent. They have the money and organizational structures/Networks.

ANC is projected to score 54-56%: It means since 1994 elections, ANC is on a steady decline of 4% in every poll.

D. A is projected to score 22%: A slide of 2%

EFF will eventually score 13%(already at 11%): An increase of 7%. It is the ONLY party that has improved in this poll.

If with 25 MPs they chased Zuma out of power , forced him to refund Nkandla funds and even compeled the govt to adopt its own policy of land expropriation without compensation, what will they do with 50 MPs?

The turnout in black communities was very disappointing.

Viva Malema. Viva EFF.

Malema is not even 40 years. He is also broke. His party has perfomed way better than Musalia, Wetangula anf the entire noisemakers around Luhyia Alliance cacophony.

I don’t think EFF will get 13% of the total votes but if they do it will be a major statement on where satafrikans want to take their country. But even at 11% that’s a big jump (~5%) and they have momentum and the youth on their side seeing that the ANC and D.A. both lost ground

I think it’s justified but not feasible. He has no bank and no friends, which his opponents have.
