It was cold but you made it warm,
When scared you tackled the harm, or sometimes we cowered together,
Looking back, that’s so funny
We weren’t perfect but you made us make it
We were clueless at times but you, we worked together for the clues
Out of the blue skies you flashed the prettiest smiles that melted our hearts
The warmest of touch that healed our hurt
It was cold but you made it hot
And even now as I wonder who I’ll turn to,
I look to your eyes in the sky and smile
I’ll look to the future, the direction you followed and see your footsteps to guide me
I’ll read our book, and perusing through, your breathe will fill my nostrils with nostalgia and your scent
I’ll lay down and dream, your presence will be right there with me
And that oh so beautiful touch will be on my shoulders again
I’ll sing our song to feel alive again
And with that strength I’ll seek others anew and create different memories
For the ones we had are irreplaceable
So yes a tear might be waxed on my face and life somewhat torn
And despite the time, distance, space or eternities between us, a part of me grown in the moments we had
Will always stay untouched
