The thing is, it’s all part of the fall of the West. America can’t believe other people, in this case the Chinese are coming up with apps and tech that is conquering the world. This was supposed to be their domain with the likes of Gugu and Microsoft. Which is why the likes of Huawei and TikTok are being fought.
Luckily, it’s a losing battle. The rest of the world won’t follow the Americans, and even in the US any move to ban TikTok will ensure that the govt that does that won’t be elected again.
If you look at it from a wider perspective, the Americans are being fought by everybody, from Uganda and Ghana with their tough anti-gay laws to Russia and China and global efforts to de-dollarise.
Just look up what the Mexican president said just the other day.
The fall of the arrogant empire in the next 20 years will be epic.
