Properties ya flashdrive inaonyesha format type ni fat ama ntfs? Kama ni RAW, jaribu kuichange to fat then format. @Deorro saidia huyu.

Enda dos mode…then delete the virus…google the dos command for searching hidden files and deleting them

NTFS

enda kwa cmd.exe

weka i command exactly pamoja na space

attrib -h -r -s /s /d g:*.*

replace g with the drive assigned to flashdisk

Type this into the command prompt: attrib -h -r -s /s /d g:*.* where g is the drive letter. You’ll be able to restore attributes of whatever is in the drive(unhide files and malicious files),…next, delete the viruses kama kawaida or use command prompt.
if this doesn’t work ngoja other solutions from villagers.

access denied. system volume information. this is the error for CMD

Hapa sielewi kitu. Wacha ni ngoje hekaya za imaginary df sessions

Listen to what @mwenyeji offered as an advice. If you opened that flash in your machine and later on is when you discovered the problem, then you are already infected. Today’s malware, trojans and viruses replicate so fast and target key areas (like MBR) swiftly crippling your system, that its usually too late whenever you discover them
The fact that you got infected also tells that you are operating an obsolete Anti-virus or you prefer keeping your machine ‘Commando’ - like @Mathaais (or is it @Web Dev ). The latter requires balls of steel and skills to determine the level of risk to take.
Many will advice you to restore, install a new AV (if you hadn’t or its obsolete ), delete this and that using attributes and many more, but unfortunately it rarely helps.
Get an empty backup disk (empty is key here) save important stuff, Format the machine and do a fresh reinstallation.
I would advice you to run a dual boot that involves a linux OS, but that’s a story for another day. Scan your backup with a good AV before restoring your files; otherwise utakuwa umefanya kazi ya kuosha nguruwe.

Sorry bro, that isn’t me, I have never pretended to be an IT guy. My knowledge of IT starts and ends at user level.

The fact that unaulizia hapa means dos ni story tu…so hauwezi hata tumia Hiren kuitowa manually.
Toa hiyo HardDrive utumie USB adaptor u scan kwacomp ile iko na anti-virus poa. Kama isipoboot later repair windows.
Download “malwarebytes” pia u run.

Install kaspersky virus remover(not the anti virus) and update it then utuambie.

i have norton 360 with a valid license. the person who had the flash told me earlier he had made the flash drive bootable using DOS. i wanted to reinstall windows using that flash to another infected laptop. i backed up some files on the flash. now they cant be deleted. cant copy anything on it. cant even format using the cmd commands above. the flash i a twin mos 16GB.

kama ni virus iko ndani just scan it with the kaspersky, mambo ya norton wachana nayo,or maybe in the process of making it bootable the flash ilikua corrupted maybe sio virus

how to remove usb write protection
cmd
diskpart
list disk
select disl 1
attributes disk clear readonly
exit

format
