Our brothers mandera, Garissa and Wajir enjoy illiteracy a lot. As I always say, GoK must build schools there and equip them with necessary resources. Leaving education matters to illiterate ‘sheiks’ is a threat to national security. Or illiterate wazees high on irredentist and extreme Islamic ideologies.
I wonder what is so attractive about underage girls who haven’t developed into anything desirable. In a setting where there is literally nothing to do, a girl is not in school, food is not enough to go round and there are zero prospects of a girl being anything but a wife to someone, after a while even she herself might wonder what she’s waiting for.
