This was not an original idea. I have heard many versions of this kind of thing for over 10 years. There are many ways to implement it, and m-gas is not doing it exactly the way he proposed…
All in all I think people should just get a spare small cylinder…that is the perfect solution that works. Also most places in town these days have a msee wa gas whom you can call anytime of day for a free delivery. The idea will flop
You can’t pitch an idea having done nothing about it and expect a corporation to take it up and fund you… If you were smart enough to think about it, you should be smart enough to “secure it”…
Before you pitch, they tell you that they have a business development unit /research lab that may or may not have the idea that you want to present. It’s upto you to decide whether to proceed or not.
Kenyan ‘innovators’ are a deluded lot.
Having an ‘idea’ does not mean it’s a unique idea.
Also, just having an ‘idea’ does not prevent anyone from implementing it.
In this instance, I understand Safaricom partnered with an already operating company. Safaricom rarely launch such products on its own.
