Again Murang’a is in the news. There’s been a string of headlines of little girls raped then killed. You have to wonder if these crimes are the works of a single criminal because 4 months ago we weren’t reading about these rape + murder stories and now its every other day. If it’s a single rapist, and they can know that by way of DNA analysis, they can make Murang’a residents breath easy.

Police in Murang’a have raised the alarm over rising cases of defilement and killings of minors in the county with at least four cases reported this month.
Mathioya OCPD Pauline Mwangi, who was speaking after the body of a five-year-old girl from Kamatumbi village was found defiled and dumped in a bush, claimed the incidents maybe linked to cults.
“It’s too much now even as we blame the drugs. I think it’s also a cult,” Ms Mwangi said.
But she said police have launched investigations to establish the cause of the rising violent sexual abuses in the area.
A 73-year old woman from Kigoro village in Maragua Ridge, Murang’a South, has been raped and killed.
Locals woke up to find the body of Jedida Wambui Muthengi near her home.
They said she appeared to have been strangled.
And how will the govt stop me from stabbing someone, some crimes the only thing the govt can do is find the criminal and punish. Govt is not a God to know in advance, they wait for crime tocommitted, find the criminal and punish; that is life.
