Have you seen the DN website lately? Advertisements after every 2 paragraphs in any article.
NTV newscast have left in droves for Citizen TV and BBC. Clearly all is not well at Nation Media group.
Reading an article at Daily Nation website now is like getting root canal procedures. They make some money from the web traffic but now they risk turning the readers away.
They better hang on to Gladys Gachanja

There was a time not so long ago Royal media heavily raided Radio Africa group after some spat only to retrench the whole lot a few months down the line.
In terms of employment, I guess there’s better job security at NMG than at RMS.
If the current hirings don’t make much immediate difference and returns for Macharia, most of those folks will be looking for jobs in the near future.

Rumour had it that UK was to buy the majority shares owned by Aga khan but don’t know if the deal went through. And yes Ruto is now a major shareholder of mediamax which owns both K24 and Kameme.

I think NMG are reacting to citizens re branding of sorts. Citizen look like they planned everything unlike NMG who look like their moves are just reactionary
