I heard some rumours a few months ago that Jack Ma may be investing in Kilimall. They look very legit due to a few pointers:
[ul]
[li]Kilimall is Chinese owned… and it is the most successful Chinese (e-commerce) company in Africa. [/li][li]Alibaba and Jack Mwantts to enter the African market after conquering Asia.[/li][li]Kilimall sources some of its products from Alibaba. [/li][/ul]
Then the mother of all direct pointers:

[ul]
[li]Kilimall is sponsoring Jack Ma’s visit to Kenya (the only e-eCommerce company doing so)[/li][li]Kilimall have written a very glowing post on their blog and shared across their social media channels. [/li][/ul]
If this happens, Kilimall will reach their goal of being the Biggest Online Shopping Mall in Africa faster than we thought. And all teh indications are there… they have grown so fast in the last 3 years with a growth rate that is faster than even Jumia IMO. They have the largest variety and a humongous warehouse in Mlolongo.
Where do they get all this money. I think Jack Ma has been investing in Kilimall and he is just here to confirm.
Hiyo whorehouse…sorre…warehouse wameifungua juzi ama has always been around? Na imeimprove logistics kweli? Coz some time back people were complaining about massive delays in delivery of products. It’s the reason I’ve never bothered to buy from the site. But if Jack Ma is really investing then Jumia should start really paying attention to the competition.
