Dubbed the night of ballers, the big party went down at Club 40Forty on Friday night with showbiz big shots showing what they are made of.
It was the second party of its kind, a night when like minds meet to party, bond and exchange business ideas.

Organised by A-One entertainment and led by Kevin Obia, the event saw the likes of Starehe MP Charles Kanyi aka Jaguar, Shaffie Weru, Gor Semelang’o, Khaligraph Jones, Prezzo and Taio attend.
Also present were Chipukeezy, Jaystaxx, Nick Mutuma and Fred Omondi.
And this is just one of the few exclusive parties shaping Nairobi club life where lavish spending is a way of life. Not so long ago, one of the sons to a senior politician spent Sh1.5 million in a club in less than an hour as he treated his friends to drinks during a rave. Sh1 million went to drinks while the rest was on snacks and tips.
Five months ago, Nana Gecaga held a mega birthday party at the Billionaires Resort in Malindi, a white and gold-themed party that saw showbiz personalities and politicians jet land in private choppers.
Among those in attendance were Nairobi Governor Mike Sonko and President Uhuru’s son Jomo. In total there were 40 guests and the party started on Friday and ended on Sunday.
It was never disclosed how much the party cost but a staff member at the hotel said it was such a boost to the hotel that they were able to recoup business lost over the past two months in just a weekend.
The guests took over the 24 private and exclusive apartments at Billionaires Resort that are rented out at Sh100,000 per night.
Nana was gifted Giuseppe Zanotti shoes worth around Sh215,000. She reportedly left behind a Sh200,000 tip for the hotel staff.
And not so long ago, during Steve Mbogo’s white-themed birthday party it was nothing less of a show as ‘ballers’ flexed muscles to show what they are made of.
With the likes of Babu Owino, Jared Otieno, Governor Amason Kingi and Huddah the Boss Lady in attendance at the Dusit D2 Lounge affair, the parking lot was a display of state-of-the-art rides with Ferraris and Lamborghinis on show.
A birthday cake gamble was settled on a €15,000 bet, the equivalent of Sh1.6 million.
When the 20 champagne bottles were lifted for a toast, crisp Sh1,000 notes wafted in the air like leaves, littering the floor, and no one was interested in collecting them.
It was Babu Owino who had pulled out Sh100,000 to steal the show as he blew the notes onto the crowd. Bills and all other expenses at the white party affair were being paid in cash, mostly in Euros.

Recently, a rich family’s scion walked into a Kilimani club with a group of 25 friends ready to party the night out. This breakdown was his eventual expense:

[li]25 bottles of Champagne (at Sh25,000 each): Sh625,000[/li][li]Five bottles of Hennessey XO (at Sh40,000 each): Sh200,000[/li][li]Three Johnnie Walker King George V at Sh150,000 each:Sh450,000[/li][li]Seven bottles of Bellaire (at Sh18,000 each):Sh126,000[/li][li]Tip to staff Sh200,000[/li][/ol]
Total: Sh1.6million

define kuharibu pesa

Enjoy yourself, at the end of it all you die.

I can relate.

Na wengine wanalia eti cost of living is going up.This thing called capitalism is wicked.

The world is an Oyster.

Blowing money fast is also an alternative way to circulate the ill gotten wealth from themselves, their fathers, and fore-fathers…

The best way would be to combine resources and build facilities and manufacturing plants… To make simple items that we normally import from china… Like umbrellas… Low end Phones… Bulbs and lights… Etc…

They would then be creating employment… Making profits and growing the economy…

what would they rather do?

Hata sijui…but ingekuwa Mimi…it wouldn’t be as above

Maybe as @Contractor has said above

That was a gimmick. You should know b club is owned by naturalised foreigners who have had a very longstanding business relationship with the Kenyattax family. That money they spent was from the proprietor. It was a gimmick to popularize the club. All stupid wannabes were flocking to bclub after that. Hao nigerians walienda huko baadaye kuvunja hiyo record ndio wajinga waliwao.

Si Babu is a politician? Publicity keeps a politician relevant. Unafikiri hiyo pesa anatupa tu kiholela? Those are calculated theatrics.

@

@thesavage your version makes a lot of sense

The wise men once said “kila mtu apambane na hali yake.”

A dollar multi millionaire spending 500,000 kenya shillings on a bar bill is just like how a kawaida hustler goes into his local bar and spends 5,000 shillings on drinks over the weekend.Nothing out of the ordinary here.

I don’t feel bad when I see the guys spend like this. I feel encouraged and motivated.

hio ni mali ya umma kwa kina Kenyatta
na malibya coomer kwa hawa ma slay queen

Asking if it’s fair ni kumaanisha there was some wrong done somewhere. Sioni makosa hapa.

they wax rich, while some people somewhere are dying
it is not fair

Kama walirarua noti za ngiri then that is destruction of govt. property. Hio ndio kuharibu pesa mbirrionaire wanajua tu.

Hio wametumia. sio kuharibu

apart from Selemango hizo umbwa zote hapo ni peasants so the article is pure nonsense and the NANA gecaga story maybe ndio ya real ballers but that story wame repeat mara kama fifty , so githeri media will remain githeri media ( though ni machungu tu ya peasant niko nayo )
