India doesnt have a poverty problem, they have a tradition problem. The religious texts and traditions claim there is a caste system. The system is socially acceptable, which means that no matter how hard you work, there are 200-300 million people who are actively prevented from rising. Asin everyone in that society makes it their legal and moral duty to enforce discrimination.
While there is discrimination in other countries based on just hate and tribalism, in india, discriminating is accepted as a way of life. That’s why there are poor unbanked people, the who country people believe the untouchables deserve less than nothing
