Is genuine low vehicle mileage for ex-Japan vehicles a myth?

I have a 2.5 Atenza. So axela iko sawa. We need arise uwe na pesa ya kubuy original. Suspension issues when arise be very careful where you do it any single mistake utakua na gari inamoan kama msichana ya pipeline end month akijua ukona dooh.

Hii yako ni hekaya ya muguka. Do you have any evidence to suggest the same? Ile ati hata ukiingia kwa database utapata it has been tampered with but still approved as genuine mileage. Hizi ni suspicions za kikenya

bado nangoja link kwa email…after registration

Boss tafuta miwani, vaa, soma word by word, am saying mileage tampering is not done because its a straight forward thing but there are some things not seen when inspection is done like coolants has been changed how many times, if coolant mixing have been done hii ndio causes radiator to clog, kama gari imewahi chemka, gasket has been changed, gearbox changed, Body Control issues, AT has been changed on time.

Seconded!!
My first import was a 40, 000km Toyota premio. Had a million issues within the first 8 months till I had to dispose it.

My second bet was 140k km audi avant-garde. 2 years and counting… zero issues.

My take. Every imported car must undergo pre shipment inspection. A sticker with the genuine mileage is affixed on the windscreen and you can easily compare with the clock readings.
A modern motor is designed to comfortably clock over a million kms just with regular servicing. Vans from Japan do long distances hence don’t expect less than 200k for 8 year olds.
I believe the general vehicle condition is far much more important than odometer readings.

If its ex uk na uko na its former uk reg u can check for MOT history where it will show you mileage recorded at time of inspection

Pewa soda. Real life experience. Wachana na hawa they think the person who bought the car alibuy kupark. A car with low mileage 95% ilikua na issue nobody can buy a brand new alafu anaendesha 5000km per year that is less than 15km per day amd less than 40,000km on 8th year.

Wacha na ktalk expert ati gari inaenda 15km per day for 8 years or less ndio iclock 40k mileage. Mileage change is a simple thing which only Kenyans worry about. Imagine a car 8 year old in Japan inaweza kua na our many owners?

Assuming you imported your atenza, how many kms had it clocked?

148km. Na haina shida na i know in few months i will start maintenance service that is changing parts not because they are fake but because its lifetime are over. Sasa ukibuy kitu you dont feel conned

Check your spam box bro. Let me know in case it doesn’t come along. While at it, i would appreciate to get some feed back about the whole concept.

While at it, pls share further info on various mileages ‘milestones’ where such costs or services are needed.

Use this but Japan and Kenya dynamics are abit different, road conditions, vumbi, fuel conditions. Its better you do abit early but definitely not after clocking the timelines

My query is based on this

Hii ndio nimeita Suspicions za kikenya. You’re point is based on hear-say, just because unaeza sema hivo, kutisha tuuu…

nimepata… asande

its possible, even hapa kenya imagine a guy living in parklands and working hapo westland, and on top of that if the individual has another car - some have weekend only cars, so its possible.
It could also be an engine refurbished car, millage is reset in such a case, that why you might see a low millage car with say worn out pedals.

Modern engines are good, and can go very far given proper maintenance - my biggest worry when it come to mileage is the service interval, I would rather confirm the major service intervals first, because some guys in japan would rather sell cars at certain mileage to avoid a hefty service bill.
