When you download a 20MB file on 3G and do the same on EDGE, will a telecom service provider charge you equally(incur the same data bundle?) While on 3G the speed is titillating, I have a feeling Safcon takes the opportunity to ‘reclaim’ the bundle they’ve sold to you unlike when you’re on the EDGE network. Theoretically 20MB on 3G equals 20MB on EDGE. Do you notice any difference on how bundles get consumed in both networks for similar size files? Does speed vary data bundle consumption for download of such a file?
What if one was using per minute billing on 3G, say, when downloading a larger file, wouldn’t the cost be cheaper to using MBs?
Nop …pesa hunyonywa equally .its up to u ,to luk for a faster gadget:can u imagine whea EDGE is ???Lakini pia hawa wachina waste us alot…those EDGE phons shldnt be imported in hea.
But we don’t have 3g everywhere in the country.
My phon is 4G ,n i live around Nai ,neva thot of other places
Stop being selfish then. I also live in Nairobi but rarely get 3g inside the house, leave alone 4g.
selfish prick

If you walk 100m and then run the same 100m, have you covered the same distance each time?
If in doubt, use a data counter/monitor.
Alafu tujifunze kujipenda. Usijizoeshe kufanya vitu the hard way kila saa.
My Xperia is 4G too but where I am the signal keeps changing from 3G to Edge and back, not stable.
Am not doing things the hard way, loving myself but the location where I am, Edge ndio iko
Its true 3 G will consume more bundles but you will save on time. It’s like two guys are moving from Nairobi to Juja one is walking on foot while the other has boarded a vehicle. Although the one walking will reach Juja at a lesser cost, a lot of energy and time has lost.
data itakulwa tu the same…
though 3G ni fast compared na EDGE
i think faster 3g & upper connections consume more power not the mbs…
