Iranian Regime Change

The US military presence in Syria’s oil-rich provinces, as well as crippling economic sanctions imposed over the years, contributed to the downfall of Assad. Another reason was the former leadership’s inability to satisfy the population’s basic needs amid a protracted civil conflict.

The blame for this lies with Washington, which has de facto occupied the most resource-rich north-eastern region of Syria, and also exerted serious sanctions pressure on Syria. This economic strangulation resulted in discontent among the population.

The government had to implement unpopular measures, which in turn resulted in protests. Assad also failed to engage in meaningful dialogue with the opposition.

Yeye and his father ruled the country for 53 years. They’re a part of a very small minority na people were tired of hio family lakini he refused to step down and Russia and Iran helped keep him in place.
Saa hii he is gone lakini Syria wasn’t a paradise a few months ago akiwa in power. Half of the country was displaced and 2.5% of the population has died because of him… The country is ruined because of one man’s greed.
I don’t care about Syrians lakini that’s totally fucked up. Less than 2% of Kenya’s population was killed/displaced in 2007/8 na we’re still crying about it. Imagine if it was 10%

At the end of the day, power is no one’s birthright. If you forcefully cling to power, you will be forcefully removed

who is paying the people who got him out of power? they are all mercenaries and fight for money only, who is funding them? their women and children back home have to eat and wear clothes, and the services of a mercenary are not cheap.

Ukrainian leaders are live now holding a joint press briefing with the new Syrian leadership. They are both puppeteered by the same master, na Syria wamepewa tonnes kadhaa za wheat, za kudumisha io urafiki.
