I usually dont watch TV. I own a 43 inch TV but I rarely find the interest to watch any of those TV channels, especially the local ones that must talk about Raila and Rutto everyday. I occassioanlly watch Al Jazeera and National Geographic when they air those documentaries of theirs! To break the bore dome occassionally, I resorted to watching the following:
Airplane Crash Documentaries : You can download these on National Geographic. Very interesting stories from the survivors of the accidents, and in rare circumstances, real interviews from the pilots. Though most of them often perish. It gives me an experience like no other watching them.
Prison Escape : I also love watching prison escapes. People can be so ingenious and very creative. Kindly watch those documentaries and see how a prisoner can make a very lethal crude escape instrument using very simple normal day implements like plastic. Most of them are often arrested after being on the run for several days. This enabled me value freedom so much. Just Google this on YouTube, you will get plenty of them.
I almost Got away with it: similar to prison escape, escapees narrate their stories following their capture. Some prisoners are outright geniuses and some have extremely high IQs that could be better utilized if only such guys realized how intelligent and gifted they are.
War Documentaries : I also love watching documentaries on how previous dictators engaged in war. I dont intend to rule some day but i like seeing the strategies that the likes of Stalin, Hitler and Hussein utilized in order to overcome their enemies. They are very exciting. I also love watching documentaries on the Iraq war. how the British and American troops flushed out Taliban militants, and the good thing is that most of them have live videos that were recorded during the combats.
Ancient Civilizations : I have always been perturbed by how the ancients were technologically advanced, yet very little of it was ever recorded. To date, for instance, no one clearly knows how the Egyptian pyramids were constructed. Nobody knows how the Maya Civilization happened. They can only guess. The fact is i believe that there is a very important part of history that was erased and all the records erased as well. There is a church in Ethiopia that was built from pure natural handcut stone. No one knows the machines that were used in carving the hard rock.
American Gangs : I also love watching how the black population in the states in engaged heavily in gangs. I find it interesting as well.
