[SIZE=5]Kenyans Are Among Highest Bitcoin Holders Per Capita According to Citi Report[/SIZE]
A report by Citibank has ranked Kenya as the fifth highest bitcoin holder per capita in the world. Nigeria was ranked third while South Africa took the sixth place. If these results are anything to go by, the future of bitcoin appears to be bright in Africa.

A recent research note by Citi notes that Kenya is among the few countries in the world with highest per capita holding of Bitcoin.
The report reveals that bitcoin holdings as percent of GDP is highest in Russia, New Zealand, Nigeria, Ukraine, Kenya, South Africa, UK & Colombia in that order. Interestingly, United States it is very low at 0.17%.

Personally I have tried this field for quite some time now…and this is my story:

It’s a huge surprise i must confess…judging by the way i had my doubts about Cryptocurrencies. 9 months ago on December 28th 2017…3 months after Binance Exchange was launched and its affiliate program was still a new thing in the industry, i posted a [U]review[/U] about it. 2 days later a friend of mine gives me a call with this exact words " Yoh Men I read your post on linkedin…Duuudeee bitcoin and all that cryptocrap are all Scams… you gotta slow down bro or better get a job!" well I must admit, i brushed it off and got a job. Little did I know 9 months later I would wake up to this astonishment.

I’ve used bitcoin before to buy some stuff in the darkweb. I follow cryptocurrency news too… Like a month ago the total crypto market capitalization declined in June from $330 billion on the first to $245 billion at the end of the month representing a loss of 26%.

Anyway, what I’ve learnt so far is that there are two ways of holding cryptos :wallets and “cold storage”. Cold storage is like having a business that stores its money in a secure vault away from the premises, wallets are like a business having all its money in a cash register - where anyone with a gun(or computer in this case) can get to.

I hope more and more people embrace cryptos. But,internet safety and privacy is key.Not just ‘anonymity’ like kTalk.
