While perusing through documents left by my grandpa, I found a share certificate for NBK shares. Minutes of some meeting by his immediate family had allocated these shares to my dad, who in turn passed them to me.
Question is, how do I get the shares transferred to my name? Ni kazi ya CMA, NBK, brokers ama nani? Google seems to be as clueless as I am.
even though they are not listed they must have an authentic documentation trail from NBK or whatever entity they were dealing with, those will be used to determine the authenticity of your claim.
sidhani ni unclaimed as long as the dividend cheques have been getting cashed, on another note, national bank hasn’t been paying dividends. I think hii ni kazi ya share registrar of the co.
Before you start you will need to have the following documents
Letters of administration showing that you are authorised by law to run the estate and affairs of your late grand pa
Confirmation of grant from the high court showing that indeed you are the next of kin and entitled to the inheritance
if there are more than one next of kin, u will need written approval from the rest
if you have the said documents you can then commence the proses of transferring the shares to your name
