I know what you’re thinking. A snake on stage! How did it even get there?
Well you might be shocked to find out that it’s actually a pretty common practice for singers to perform on stage with dangerous snakes in the country of Indonesia.
The incident took place a few weeks ago, popular Indonesian pop singer Irma Blue passed away after she was bitten by a snake she had been using as a prop during a live performance on Sunday, April 3.
This was not her first rodeo though, Irma had been on stage with other dangerous reptiles on previous occasions, performing even with Pythons and Boa constrictors.
However on the day of the accident things did not seem to go according to plan. An audience member revealed that, Irma accidentally stepped on the snake’s tail when it was irritated and bit her on her thigh.
The snake handler hurriedly rushed to dislodge the snake from her thigh and offer the pop star an antidote, which she turned down. It’s believed that Irma thought the snakes had been defanged before being brought on stage.
But 45 minutes after the incident, she suddenly began to vomit and collapsed. She was then rushed to hospital where she was pronounced dead on arrival.
Yeah, it would have been better for her to take the antidote even if she thought it was defanged.
Better safe than dead.
My question is why a untrained person would perform with snakes in the first place?
She was performing with a snake on stage, the snake bit her and she refused an antidote? Let’s just say that that was her destiny and no one is to blame.
humans are controversial beings. you try to befriend a fcuking reptile that happens to be the root cause of their daily sufferings and @ss-ripping chores from back in the garden…and continue to trust the same thing after millions of years. personally i hate snakes coz i think one dry fried eve n still went ahd to tell adam of this new discovery.
