A section of Kenyans has expressed concerns over the welfare of National Police Service officers. One claimed the talks must ensure that police officers never live in makeshift houses which unfortunately lowers their dignity.
Christine Adika said the houses have forced police officers to only enjoy their conjugal rights when it is heavily raining. “They deserve matrimonial enjoyment in privacy which only happens when it is heavily raining. Not fair,” Adika tweeted.
Over the years, police officers have been living in small houses made of iron sheets where two to four officers share one room. The duo appealed to the President, Raila Odinga and former chief justice David Maraga who is the head of a task force looking into police welfare.
