Today, Baby Amanda will be laid to rest.
A beautiful soul taken too soon , in a moment that shook us all to the core.
As her family travels to Kitui to bury their precious daughter , sister , niece , and friend, may we each pause if only for a moment to honour her memory.
Amanda had just turned five.
A birthday party that will not see many more to come.
Innocent.
Full of light.
Her life should have been filled with birthdays, books, and ballet.
Instead, family and friends gather in grief and we must not let that grief be silent.
To her mother, Ann , who has stood as a pillar of strength for her children even at her weakest, and to all who loved Amanda.
May God’s comfort overshadow the blame.
May our prayers speak louder than public judgment.
May Amanda’s light and laughter never be forgotten.
