The Congolese music world is in mourning after the tragic death of Tshatshambe Akwakate AKA Tolin Shotokay "La Roche’.

Next to him is Vocalist / Atalaku Willy Bula Mazigi , Guitarists Lebou Kabuya “Mwana Center Ville” ( RIP ) , Beniko Popolipo “Zero Faute” and Felly Dimbedi Tyson.
A former popular and highly skilled Animator / Dancer of Quartier Latin International , led by Koffi Olomide , he was found having commited suicide by hanging himself on Friday, October 11, 2024, around 1 p.m., in his home in the neighborhood of Sangamamba in Ngaliema.
Tolin was one of the early members of the band and had a close relationship with Koffi Olomide thru his musical career. Many fans remember with emotion Tolin’s vibrant performances on stage.
After a long stay in South Africa , Tolin had recently returned to Kinshasa , where he had continued to be a popular figure in the music world.
His talent and passion for dance made him a memorable artist , etching his name in the history of Congolese music.
Currently , Tolin’s body has been transferred to the morgue of the Cinquantenaire Hospital, pending the organization of his funeral.
Our most sincere condolences to his family , to Koffi Olomide , as well as to all the artists and fans who mourn the loss of this exceptional talent.
