Dear President William Ruto, Prayer is never an Economic equation
When you tell us to say Amen, your friends are importing Sugar and Rice from Brazil, Maize from Turkey and TZ milk from UG, toothpick from China. Your friends import fertilizer from Russia and Egypt. Funny that we now need fertilizers to grow food in Africa
You called for a national prayer day spending Over KES 5 Million or $50,000 on a single day, telling us to pray for rain, for God to get us out of hunger, that the rain to pour down so that your people can get food.
Did you watch that clip Mr president?, That Saudi Arabia is now producing 1,600 tonnes of wheat in the desert. When last did they see rain if ever?
Soon Your Friends will be looking to import cheap wheat produced in a Desert—just the same way KFC sells us potatoes imported from Egypt, because ours is just to consume and say “I receive in Jesus Name!”
Dear President Ruto, These prayers have been around since independence, 60 years ago. Your people do not need your Jesus, that is ours to decide. We need you to think, hire People who think and think hard—without any imposed self interest for the benefit of us all.
The Saudis have all the money on earth to import whatever they want. They even imported Christiano Ronaldo to play for them, but they still think food production at home makes a Nation more prosperous
One Desalination plant in the Arid North to treat the undeground saline water.
Just one.
It will tap most of the power from the ever present Solar and the Vicious and strong winds. It will give employment to thousands of Kenyans.
It will help irrigate millions of acres that the government can use to grow various food crops and pastures.
The persistent drought in that area will be a thing of the past.
Conflicts will be reduced.
The area will be transformed social economically.
The country gains…
Just one plant.
The vast underground aquifers are God’s answers to our prayers.
Are we too blind to see this?
The moment we got into the imf, we lost the plot. Structural adjustment are here to stay. University education is to go up in the next few months if implemented.
Desalination and irrigation of our land is the only way to go. We can’t rely on rainfed agriculture
