At least five paramilitary personnel were killed and three others injured on Wednesday when their vehicle ran over an explosive at Liboi, Garissa County.
The scene of the attack in Harhar area is less than two kilometers from the main Kenya-Somalia border.
The General Service Unit officers were patrolling the border aboard a truck when it ran over the Improvised Explosive Device (IED).
Like any other government ministry, pesa ya hizo equipment unasema zilijenga flats za wakubwa kitambo. Kama za NYS walikula hivyo, imagine how much they steal from police and the army where media coverage is limited. The only reason why they wouldn’t use them is because they dont have them.
This is a well orchestrared war…watu wanakula vizuri at the expense of innocent lives…!!! Nowonder some elements are against the erection of a wall along the border…cause they know repercussions of it-“itamaliza biashara”.
Afisa wanaona vile iyo lorry imefanywa karatasi next time they are patrolling the area with such a vehicle magoti inashake tu. The enemy is beneath the ground you are driving. Only God can save you if an IED goes off.
The wall/fence will do little to keep off the enemy. Armed drones are the best to guard the borders.
