Ina kaa this time they didn’t consider a minority tribe for chair

Then kuna huyu mwingine Kangu
[I]"Shortlisted are Margaret Shava (Kiambu), Roseline Odede (Kisumu), Mutakha Kangu (Kakamega), David Mereka (Murang’a) and David Malakwen (Nandi).
Kangu, who holds a doctorate in law from the University of Cape Town, also has the advantage of having chaired the Task Force on Devolved Government after enactment of the 2010 Constitution.

Kangu was reported to be part of Raila’s kitchen cabinet ahead of the 2013 elections. The expert on constitutionalism and governance was on the technical team that came up with ODM’s position during the Constitution review process in 2009.

This association with a political party may play to Kangu’s disadvantage."

I don’t think it is ethical to have a commissioner leave alone chairperson who is related to any of the candidates running next year hata kama ni governor ama mpig. Still on that beat of IEBC, there was some several billions given to our government by the US government to “support” our 2017 elections. What is the latest on these monies? Were they given to the IEBC? How will other stakeholders in the elections parties and the media benefit from this cash?

This is why there is vetting, send your questions to the panelist so that they can ascertain all and any wild accusations if they are BS or true.

CORD ensured better qualified Kenyans kept off these IEBC jobs, in terms of expertise we will not have better commissioners compared to the outgoing ones, woe unto us if one of the guys from Nandi or Muranga gets the top job and CORD loses, itakua maandamano reloaded.

Perhaps the CORDiots should storm the selection panel. These candidates do not reflect the wishes of the teargas crowd.

Raila repoliticized iebc after we depoliticized it in the katiba. Let us give Shava chair and Kangu deputy chair and let the games begin. 2017 upige kura na kuenda kwa nyumba

Mutakha Kangu, Just like MM cant deputise anybody…too big an ego but if that happens then Shava will have a rough ride to elections

Inasemekana huyo Shava ni relative ya UK, she is married to a Lunje.
