Ideal life in Africa... hii inatosha

Kitu hutuoni hapo ni mefi ya kuku na makele kibao. Nice life. Ngombe ici

Sio pesa pekee, pia raha ni limited. Where will you get foreign cuisines hata ukiwa na pesa ocha?? You can’t enjoy your money fully. Golf club ya ocha kwetu ilichapa hata.

In my view most people hupenda ocha juu it is the intelligent financial decision ukifika 60 kama hujakafunga sana. So, the idea of living peacefully ocha appeals to 99% of Nairobians. The wealthy hawahitaji kuenda ocha juu leafy suburbs already hukuwa kama ocha in terms of population density, fresh air, etc.

Filthy hag let this serve as the final warning of mentioning me . I won’t take it kindly to be abused by someone whose money is short of mine.

If this is your definition of good life, you are living in an imaginary world. Who enjoys golf in this world? Who eats foreign cuisine in the name of enjoying life? The people you see playing golf are only there to belong to the select crowd (prestige). People go for good food when they have money, not foreign cuisine (whatever that means).

Where are you going to get culinary experiences ocha?? The selection of food there is severely limited because there is no critical mass of rich people. It doesn’t matter how much money you have you will still have a shiet experience.
You can’t do most “rich people shiet” ocha. Even your circle of friends will be limited. So yes, that is my definition of a happy life…unapologetically. I was raised in ocha so I know its downsides, and I also know the upsides za leafy suburbs. Ocha is only better if you are the bottom 99% in Nairobi.

People like you have no clue about the different perspectives of Nairobi residents. The experiences of a guy in Muthaiga and another in Dandora are like night and day. Their paths almost never cross despite living in the same city.

Have you ever seen a wealthy man retiring to ocha from leafy suburbs?? No and you never will. Its always the bottom 99% retiring to ocha and they have valid reasons for that.

My point is simple. At a certain high level of wealth, its asinine to leave Nairobi for ocha because the opportunity cost is too high. What’s the logic of leaving 1 acre in Karen to go and live in ocha?? The bottom 99% see value moving to ocha because they don’t have an opportunity cost…so their lives improve.

Lakini baba mdogo nini hukusumbua haki? Uko na umbwakni ingine sii ya kawaida.

Mbona unakuwanga na machungu ivi juu ya other people’s opinions?? Kumbaff

The thread is about an ideal life and our perspectives and opinions can differ. You are not less of a man for having a different view. Grow up.

The mere fact that uko na mkundu kama watu wengine haimaanishi uanze kuoneshana kila mahali hata kama wengine wanaoneshana zao.

I get it now. Juzi ulipost picha ya your hacienda ocha enjoying the tranquility. Sasa juu nimesema my ideal life ni leafy suburbs instead of ocha, you feel like I’m challenging your worldview or attacking your beliefs. Nothing could be further from the truth. Living in ocha is a very intelligent move if you are not wealthy enough to afford living in the leafy suburbs. You get a higher quality of life there than in Nairobi (outside the leafy zones). No need to get angry at me. Your approach actually suits 99% of Nairobians and I would do the same if I was in your position.

  1. People are generally rational creatures. So, we can reasonably assume that they make the best choices that they can with regard to choosing where to live.
  2. Job opportunities are the primary determinants of migration. So, people move to the cities in search of work and they are willing to ignore the downsides of city-dwelling.
  3. When you eliminate job opportunities (eg retirees), people try to maximize their quality of life. The bottom 99% make the ideal choice by moving to the village, and the top 1% choose to remail. Both are ideal choices based on the person’s wealth.

Mimi naishi ocha. Mtu aishi kwenye anataka. Miaka yetu kwa dunia ni chache, mtu akae ile mahali atakaa bila kupigia watu wengine kelele.

Tunakuja

Why are you touting culinary experience as if it is a new concept or some super critical vitamin. Culinary experience is eating something you enjoy, not eating sh!t you think will impress people on social media. There is no better place to have a great culinary experience like in rural areas, where food is cheap and fresh. And I am not talking about hardship areas like Nyahururu and the like. Two, there is no such place as leafy suburbs. It’s the money in your pocket that makes your life feel leafy suburb. And such places are all over the country away from dust and noise. I have lived and worked in Karen as a pauper and there was nothing leafy suburb about it. And I’m not talking about the fringes. No. It’s Karen proper next to government ministers.

Good life. Sasa panda tumboga kiasi hapo kando ya fence mbloo
