Russia isn’t as advanced as you may assume. I remember when the war begun in 2022… actually go a bit back to the fall of 2021 when we were talking of the looming war as they started to move blood and medical supplies to the front… I never believed they possessed the military might and technology to achieve anything they hadn’t already.
On mines, yes they’re better than what we have in Africa but aren’t worth it. They’re sanctioned to the brink, brings along those problems with them. Also they’re also hungry.

On a perspective point of view, Russia is doing unproportionately well. Must be the reason Moscow increased the military budget earlier in the year.
Looking at Ukraine they are getting billions, Hungary may be blocking 6 billion euros, but the total eu fund is upto 44 billion in projected funding. Russia is only relying on their own economy, which grew despite sanctions
So in spite of all the troubles the rest of the world suffered in consequence of the war, Russia has beat the odds.
