In our neighboring country, Uganda, president yoweri museveni, who was the chief guest in his own swearing ceremony ,was the one who introduced his guests, this was after a whole hour military parade,
The chief guest,was the one who read out list of guest in attendance,and kept on explaining who the guest was if the audience did not clap well enough for him… I loved his explanation on Niger and Lesotho… The dude corrected a previous speaker who wrongly introduced the king of Lesotho …he said something like, Niger nakuo hakuhi Nigeria…
The chief guest stood a few meters from the microphone stand after he invited president for Chad to make his speech on behalf of all guests… … Seriously??? He was beckoning the audience to clap for him.
Lastly the chief guest ended up becoming the MC who successfully intimidated kizza with his bayonet military parade…
