I Love Elden Ring

I thought pure Int builds are dead easy. I was wrong. Strength builds are easier. Strength + Faith is the easy mode.

I’ve played the game 5 times now (currently on my sixth) . I just had never tried a pure INT build. I always combined a little INT on my strength/dex build.

Starting with a strength build is my default in FromSoftware games, but mages are incredibly powerful in Elden Ring. Are you starting a new character for the DLC?

Yes. My original character was a STR/INT. Now I’m preparing three characters for the DLC. A pure INT. A STR/FTH, and a DEX one. I’ve already done a STR/FTH and it was the easiest playthrough.

I think mages get OP at end game but early bosses are kind of a pain on a mage. I’ll link a vid later to show what I mean

@badworries. This was me attempting to use magic to beat this easy boss. The sword has the gravity ash of war giving it a D in INT scaling, E in STR, and E in DEX. It’s plus 3.

My character has 20 INT the sword barely does any damage. The boss will dodge glintstone pebble and punish you from across the arena. You spend half the time creating distance from bosses.

If this was 20 STR with a plus 0 weapon the boss goes down in under a minute. I have to say my mage does more damage now but in Limgrave and Weeping Peninsula I was struggling with glintstone pebble. Or I just suck at magic :green_emoji:

Darkmoon Greatsword in a nutshell. Level 85 (VGR 40, INT 50, STR 16) this weapon hits like a truck. I want to do a final arcane build then wait for DLC.
