I am in the real 3rd world

I got cousins who lives in a place called lower Subukia.Kiforojo.Na sio kiborojo centre but gicagi-ini.
Getting there was a challenge of a kind.Huku ata sijui kama they understand why they vote every 5 yrs.
Stima imepitia lakini penye niko hawajaweka.
Then it happened tukinyihia hwai(shortening the night) we beat lot of stories.
One of the story was about how several neighbours had found uninvited members sharing bed with them.
Trust me i didn’t want us to retire to our respective beds but it just happened like 2hrs ago.
Sasa mimi usingizi umekataa kuja, coz any parapara in the house is making me think of the snake story(fck Charothi for beating us the story).I am sure hapa sipati usingizi hata kidogo.
Secondly I can’t turn easily coz hii bed sincerely if doesn’t give in to my weight by morning…mwiiihuririee…plus its width ni ya mtu mmoja tu,ukigeuka unaanguka.
Then the darkness wueeehh…the house is totally black…This is a life i lived many years ago na hakuna vile nitaruhusu hawa waendelee hivi.
Generator mzuri ni gani (brand) na ni pesa ngapi wadau, atleast najua bei ya kitanda

Fikiria juu ya solar alafu punguza uzito. Kitanda iko sawa.

Am only 94…Solar huku zitaibiwa, generator watafungia

A generator is expensive to run especially when all you need is lighting. Solar unatumia zile panels unatoa nje mchana usiku unarudisha ndani. Kama ni generator nunua Honda pale Kijabe street kuna dealers.

I will consider hiyo option ya solar pia…

Just admit that is your countyside home where your folks and siblings reside. Charothi is actually your brother. Take up responsibility of improving their lives and not just living a big lavish life in the city while they live in abject poverty. Wanunulie vitanda mzuri na pia wekea wao stima kuna kitu inaitwa last mile project.

Solar panel hujengewa steel frame to secure it on the roof ndio mwizi asipite nayo unless it’s a grass thatched roof with nothing strong to secure it to.

i am also for solar in spite of any risk. generator ni unsustainable na mafuta.

Solar all the way…

Mbona usivute stima from main road and help a whole village. At my grandmother’s kumekuwa na stima tangu before nizaliwe…after ile programme ya rural electrification hakuna nyumba haina stima in that locality.

But some people are generally slow!

Weeee Childish, son hii story again down below before shooting of ya mouth… How are you comprehension skills? Zeroooo

@Kimakia instead of liberating your family from poverty ni kuwaanika tu ktalk…Buy them a better bed ama ukiwavisit unatembea na yako

Wako mbali kiasi na main…last time they enquired from KP waliambiwa they need like 10 poles for it to get to their home.Since no other villagers are willing to drop a line KP ikaona hapo ni kulalisha doo

They are not poor its only that they lack some important amenities.Even the bed serves someone else better

oooo iko sawa basi. …

He should invest in a camping bed.
Light weight and easy to carry.

In terms of infrastructure this place is neglected.

They are upgrading the Maili Kumi-Solai -Mbogoini-Subukia road to bitumen standards. I thought it passes through those areas.

This is so sad. That you cannot progress in life because of criminals. Hii ndio ile ufala ya other parts of Kenya ati you cannot progress because you will be bewitched.
And then instead of brainstorming with neighbours and local chief to find permanent solutions you choose to stay stuck in the mud.
I know this is not your battle but if I was you I would encourage them to form nyumba kumi with neighbours and meet regularly to assess progress

Yes that is the road.I saw such efforts.Culverts, kokoto sites i hope they move faster coz the road will really open up the place
