I previously had a holier than thou attitude about all this (the usual “One Kenya, One People, Non-tribal” bullshit) until I realized that every other tribe in Kenya wants to destroy my people for no reason other than the feeling that we’ve gotten unearned privileges all the way back from Jomo’s reign.

My question to you is: would you vote for anyone else but your tribes-mate if you knew everybody out there is out to get you and yours? No matter how morally upright you are, your human instinct is to default to self-preservation.

That’s why my vote will go to none other than Rigathi Gachagua. I’m not gonna sit down and watch my people get destroyed because of some “oh, we should vote for the best person” bullshit when even they wanna kill us. Fuck all of you!

I agree with you 100%. You have seen all the insults directed to me even after we in jubilee voted for raira in 2022 while those who voted for kathongo are insulted every day as tugege. I’d rather be insulted after voting for my tribesman than being insulted after voting for kabila ingine. So 2027 form ni “mtu yetu”.
