Mzee Hussein Dairy was a great friend of Jomo and whenever the first president was in Mombasa he always visited him wakule mbuzi. when he died ndio shamba ilivamiwa.
sasa unatuuliza umetuona hapo?
Then my guess is as good as yours on how Mzee Hussein acquired the parcel in the first place. Anything jomo touched stinks to date
Some charlatan was trying to sell me a 50*100 at 275k hapo. Asked for documents, dude had his ID only!!. Kuna watu najua wataona siku ndefu!
Huku ni bamburi pande gani?Sijawahi kujua bamburi ni kubwa hivi.
So when you receive land as a present from a former head of state you can have squatters removed with lightning speed, but when you buy it like Waitiki did, you have to spend years in court requesting the government to eject them?
past Kiembeni on your way to mwakirunge
Could be true could be a hekaya, ata kuna hii ingine eti Karisa Maitha was a hse boy kwa Hussein Dairy and then the Mzee pushed him into politics when he saw his leadership skills. kwanza alichaguliwa councillor wa bamburi and later mpig wa kisauni. when he became the minister for local government alimrudishia mzee mkono kwa kumpa kazi ya garbage ya Msa city.
When Hussein was totting the garbage msa was clean
As @Budspencer has said in another thread, ‘poverty’ has become a licence to break the law. "Poor’ people are now putting up shanties everywhere, and when the owners reclaim the land they want to be ‘compensated’, sio road reserves, private land, power and railway way leaves, Mau forest, whatever. Alafu unaskia the perennial cry: “Sasa wanataka watoto wetu waende wapi…”
Ferk off, niggaress! Ukitombwa upate hao watoto haukuwa unajua hiyo ni road reserve/forest/railway way leave?
A level of brutality is needed, otherwise the inherent primitive nature of the African will overwhelm those of us who aspire to live civilised lives.
When a perimeter wall was being erected around this property early this year, I knew kitanuka. Ilikuwa ikisubiriwa elections ziishe ndio kieleweke. These fellows had a land allocating committee of themselves, and had constructed a mosque, dispensary etc there
Thank you Guka, siku hizi unatema tu words of wisdom, take the case of gikomba, children died because an idiot put up a timberyard next to a residential building and vice versa, then they wanted to reconstruct again! the f! where is the planning dept in all this.
like Boniface Mwangi said,Nairobi is one big ghetto, foesnt matter if you live in kilimani or zimmerman.
Salambo tumekula reggae sana bana for years.
Nishawai skis kitu kama hiyo pia.
Swali ni moja hapa. Huyu Hussein alipewa na nani na aliyempea alitoa wapi?
:D:D:D:D shait!
na usisahau kunguru kwa wingi salambo
Si last year tu tena kulikuwa na another round of eviction hapo?
A man was on Saturday shot in the waist while a woman was beaten senseless after police clashed with squatters on a disputed land in Nguu Tatu, Kisauni constituency in Mombasa county.
Police arrived at the scene at about 9.30am and found the squatters had blocked the road, denying them access to the land.
The squatters had lit bonfires on the road.
Police had to lob teargas canisters to disperse the squatters from the 60-acre parcel of land.
The rowdy squatters retaliated by hurling stones and shooting arrows at the police who were accompanied by hired youths.
The hired youth, armed with hoes, metal rods and clubs, demolished the structures amid the hail of stones hurled at them.
They burnt some of the about 70 structures on the land.
The squatters say the piece of land they occupied is part of the 314-acre Hussein Dairy Farm.
However, a contractor who was on the ground, Obed Njiru, told journalists that the disputed land measures 60 acres, was bought by Bandari Sacco from Hussein Dairy Limited, the original owner. In 2011.
“I was contracted by Bandari Sacco to build a perimeter wall around the 60 acres but when I arrived on the scene I found squatters had invaded the land,” Njiru told journalists on the scene.
He said the squatters only occupied the land from 18 months ago.
When Bandari Sacco bought it in 2011, it was empty, he noted.
@Meria Mata kitu ingine naonagaa pale nyali bridge kuna ka slum uko chini na ukiangalia poa hadi kuna poles za stima zimedrop nare kwa izo nyumba, hawa watu hawaogopi high tides ama wamezoea, untill disaster happen ndio utaona media

Mombasa needs its own mainstream media market. It’s distance from Nairobi and it’s very cultural composition demands it.
