Maybe the writer meant the driver was going up the field u turned and drove down then repeated that over and over again all over the field …Zig zag
Has adequate power but the engine is not designed and it’s not geared to produce useful torque for the job. Tractors have very low power but loads of torque starting from low rpms.

most cars now have a creep action that would be useful in such situations. Of course the plough quality will not be superb but it should be enough for maize etc
The issue here is lack of traction, you would end up using alot of fuel. It is cheaper to just hire a tractor
I would rather someone use my car on a farm than drive it on the road like some maniacs do.
