how the hell this can happen to me at this time

so on Monday i decided to post my tablet on olx. Fortunately I got a client who called me from my bed the following day very early in the morning. We agreed to meet in town in two hours. In few minutes i set off to town with the device and all its accessories. Maisha ilikuwa imenichallenge kiasi so I was sure after the transaction I would have at least 15k, and I was sure with that I not worry much about the drinks and such things associated with xmas day. kufika nikampigia. then we agreed to meet near the Kenya National Archives. On meeting him the guy asks me if we could move to his shop and do the transaction from there. “Nafanya kazi kwa duka ya woria, na ananiita, sijaomba ruhusa nikitoka, tunaweza enda huko? si mabali, ni hapa tu.” Ok, tukaenda. As we entered a phone shop upstairs, the guy tells me, “unajua nataka tuelewane kwanza, ni customer alikuwa ameweka order tumtaftie tablet ya aina hii, na ni lazima pia mi nikule kitu. niliambia boss yangu unauza 18k”. I agreed with him that mine would be atleast 15k, if his boss was to give anything above that, it was to go to him. At the entrance the guy tells me. “Unajua boss ashatuona, duka yetu ndio hii hapa ndani. Acha niingie nielewane naye atoe pesa nikuletee.” (he already had the tablet at that time, but nikakataa). He insisted for sometime, but nikakataa kabisa. At last he tells me, " basi tufanye hivi, ju customer ako hapa town tu, acha nimcall tuongee na yeye directly." I saw it a good deal, so I gave in. After all I was sure to remain with only the 100 bob I had, minus fare back, had I not sold the device. He called the “customer” and in a few minutes he joined us. A middled aged man in specs, kitambi kiasi and looked to be an ever busy man. Wakakoroga kiasi kwa lugha ya kwao. Then the “customer” says, “boss bona unauza machine pesa mingi ivi, can’t you sell it to me at 16k, remember i’ll also have to give your colleague here something for linking me up with you.” The other interferes and tells him to give me 17k, and convinces him that the device is very ok and as good as new. The guy agrees, and asks me, " wapi caharger?" I gave him. At the immediate door to us the guy gives the device to a guy standing by a mobile phone stall and says, “we Roba, cheki ka io machine iko poa charging system?” And the other three of us walked out led by the “customer.” He takes out his wallet, but there is only about 6500/- . He takes out an Equity Bank ATM and tells us, “si mwache nitoe pesa hapa alaf nikuje?” The other guys agree but immediately he tells me, mgojee hapa atoe pesa atakuja, acha mi nirudi job, mtamaliza na yeye." then I’m like confused, but they are all walking way. I decide to follow the “customer”. But he tell me to go back to Roba and help him as he tests the devices. Then I’m like, OMG, nijashikanisha sura ya Roba, i had just seen him briefly. Again which is his stall among all thse? I insisted, lets go with him, he withdraws the money and then we come to Roba. But he tells me there was a cable he had to look for first, so I had to follow him, kichochoro kwa kichochoro. As we walks, Roba calls him repeatedly. “ambia uyo jamaa akuje anitolee pattern niangalie machine ka iko sawa.” the guys gives me the phone to speak to Roba. Then its like they’re forcing to go to Roba and help him, but I’m insisting we shouold go together. Finally Roba calls again. This time the “customer” does not offer me his phone to talk to Roba, But he say to me, "naambiwa io ni mkebe tu, na nimekuambia uende ukamwonyeshe chenye anadai ukakataa. sinunui kitu kibaya, rudi ukachukue. " WTF!!! we have walked for almost an hour, i dont even know wherever we met Roba, neither do I know where we are now! It made the worst day of year 2015. Finally I am back without my tablet or money. and christmas is here!!!

Always insist on going to a place you are comfortable with. You were too soft on those guys.

Hehe next time if you are selling something online you should meet in a venue of your choice like a hotel where the exchange takes place, kama hana pesa hapo ambia yeye atembeze kiatu ama uchape yeye 2 hot slaps

This type of transaction hufanyika kwa hoteli ama in a shop where you know someone…hii maneno ya kupelekwa vichochoro hapana…kwanza kaa hauelewi tao vizuri.Best place is if you have an office in town or you work in town, alternatively if you know someone with an office in town

Pole, next time take care
