Juzi tu I was in panic mode after making a payment to Absa bank Paybill number and I missed one digit for the Account number. I realized 20 minutes later when I received a call from the hardware Shop asking me to forward them my Payment confirmation message. Wueh!! nilitokwa na jasho nyembamba. I had sent Ksh 88K meant for a consignment of cement to the wrong person.
By a stroke of luck the account number that I had typed was of a user who had not activated Mbanking and so the payment had failed and was not deducted from my MPESA account, from that day I first verify the name of the Account using an app before sending even 100 bob.
Kuna siku I was sending money to a Supplier. I didn’t know his name na huwa tunaCrack jokes Santa.
Normally I usually pay him Cash so I dunno his real name. So nikaweka pesa then mentioned to him a Luhya nana that had popped up so that aniambie kama ndio hiyo.Nugu ikacheka, and I took that as a Yes.
Big mistake. It was the wrong dude.
5 minutes later the ferker is asking me “Hujanitumia” and I was like "Siulisema ni @Abba
Jinga ndio inaniambia ilikuwa inacheza.
Called Safcom Care and reversed the Msg, kumbe recepient had a Fuliza of kitu 780 bob ndio ilikatwa. The other cash was ‘Suspended’ then nikarudishiwa.
Hiyo noogle nikakata 780 Kwa pesa zake na nikamlipa in Cash. Sipendi ujinga.
Hapo June/July nlituma 25k through equity paybill but ommited a digit somewhere na nkarelax only to be reminded of kadeni the following day. Checked the paybill no. Yenye nlifeed, Nkapata all the digits were 12 and not the usual 13. Mbiombio kupigia customer care who assured me of a reversal since such a transaction can’t go to completion na nkasema sawa and proceeded to pay the kadeni mimi nibaki kungoja.
Used mpesa kama kawa sending and receiving na haiishi mpaka nkajipata na 3k balance nkajua baas! Acha nishtue hawa wajinga wanirudishie Ile pesa. Called and they told me to try and track my usage coz in such transactions, pesa haiendangi through despite the confirmation msg saying imeenda na huenda nlipata msg ingine baadaye iyo siku ya ‘failed’. Kumbe ile 25k never left my account na nmekuwa nkiimumunya kiholela and sure ningekuwa mtu wa kusomasoma msg ningejua even before calling customer care.
Kuna some girl I know back in campus who in the process of paying her fees she purchased airtime from mpesa of around 10k and those were exam days. Dame ali collapse after knowing the mistake she made, the most funny thing I have ever seen. Ilibidii some boda guys kumbeba and they took her to a Safaricom shop where her issues were solved
I’ve sent 5k at least 4 times on seperate occassions, only one was kind enough to send back. A friend also referred me to this BTC plug, nikatuma 20k kununua digital fulusi directly and that was that
Once send 23k to a wrong number, instead of writing 0724 I wrote 0704. Anyway the person who received the money sounded very old and we couldn’t make good communication. Ilikua days huwezi reverse unless the person does the reverse at will.
Kuna Time I received an SMS from kcb that my account was loaded with 47k. I didn’t bother cz I figured out most likely someone has made a mistake and it will be reversed. After two weeks the money was still there, after two months no reverse had been made. Nikaenda nikawithdraw nikapiga sherehe.
Nikiwa campus maseno hapo Luanda club inaitaa Tripple T nilikua namumunya keg na maboys. Kidogo simu inalia mtu ametuma 17k.
received 17K fuliza ikakata zake na nikafuliza back the rest.
uko na bahati coz safaricom does not just reverse without calling the recipient, if he does not pick the call after 4 calls in 5 hours, they reverse. if he picks the call and disputes your story they wont reverse all they will tell you is go to the cops
