How Many CC's Does A Probox Have?

Those goat leaves are very light. Sidhani paper bag moja ile ya yellow inaweza fikisha 10kg.

… hapo sasa?.. ustaadh, waache wafyatuke!.. mwendo wa aste aste ndio stairo ya kisasa!

There was once a documentary on local tv about the modifications done on those miraa pickups, such that the thing can hit a bump at 160 and still remain stable, or negotiate the Nithi curve at 140 without rolling. I guess the same thing is done on the proboxs.

weka hiyo news report/mock-you-mentary 'apa 'ivi.

1300-1500cc reminds of the 1200 Nissan Datsun that ka thing hukimbia

Yani u can interchange engines from different makes/models , nimejua leo :D:D

I own a couple of proboxies and my friends call them shitboxes, but i call them “Punda za kazi”. A while back i covered a distance of 200 km in 1hour 12mins with a probox. They are quite fast and efficient in terms of fuel consumption, but fail on stability as they are too lite. You have to be very alert when doing high speeds. The good thing on that day it was on a Sunday morning the traffic was minimal. The funny feeling about the shit box is that it has that thrill, when accelerating you feel like you’re leaving your heart behind.I guess that’s why most people are envious about them.

Then there is this, i have done upto 215 km/h on the odometer but you still can’t get the thrill you get from a probox.

Welcome to Kenya. There’s Mitsubishi & Mazda pick-ups running on Toyota Hilux engines, Old school Range Rovers huwekwa engine ya Toyota Hiace 3l, the relatively newer model huwekwa engine ya Toyota Prado/Hiace Super Custom 1KZ-TE (this I even saw in some Malaysian Range-Rover owners’ website). Locally, the new model Toyota Hiace (aka Shark) has had its petrol/diesel engines swapped successfully with the preceding model’s 5l engine, etc etc.

Good point lakini Tribeca has like 3000CC and top speed ni 150Mp/h, I put the pedal to the floor lakini sikufikia hio Probox… Labda Probox was created by the devil.

Yeah it had to be a Tribeca.

News feature can also be loosely referred to as a documentary.

When the pick-ups were in use they used to get their engines re-bored, straight from the showroom. That way, engine capacity would increase from stock size by a few hundred cc, and hence the extra bhp and torque. So you’d end up with a larger piston, but on the same block. So, coming up Kinungi two drivers with the same brand, one would put the other to shame. Plus, there are a couple of ways to get more from an engine than the manufacturers put in.
