Sites like Ktalk, and Klost, are/were real time stealer!
Just a guru said these sites can be like your fridge you keep on checking though you know there is nothing in there!
I found a great way to stay out of ktalk I only access it via a computer only, which limits it to mostly Mon - Friday for a few hours.

Kinda hard if you work using a computer with high speed internet. My line of work involves 99% googling and researching and 1% trading futures. When you have that kind of time in your hands and unlimited internet, ktalk is a necessary evil because watching trades is like watching paint dry. So personally, my line of work blends in well with Kenyatalk and other online forums like reddit. They hardly affect my business or productivity.

True but would agree that these days Ktalk has gone to the dogs as well? the time spent here would be better spent in places like reddit, quora, on lluminatedmen.com etc …
How I do It:

Rest of the week hadi friday chek in at 11am, 3pm for 20 min

True. If I find nothing interesting here, reddit is my next option. Then some youtube channels that I have subscribed because they have good content for slow days.
Live your own life, what works for you doesn’t have to apply to all talkers.
Nowadays am not on ktalk like I used to before and it has nothing to do with the reasons you cite.

My point is Ktalk is a life sucker, hakuna cha maana tena, but bado twajipata hapa from time to time (maybe ni juu ya mundu mulosi!, Mulosi is Mchawi ni Luhya) but am saying its better to ‘waste’ time else where you might actually learn a thing or two! hapa uta learn about a new brothel if you get lucky!

I also find some of those sites quite educative. Ktalk is very educative as well, if you’re keen enough. But trolls, hypocrites and bigots on Ktalk derail most of the promising threads and posts.
Searching for wisdom and knowledge on Ktalk is like searching for hidden treasure on an island inhabited by cannibals. However, whenever you manage to find it it’s in abundance.
Instead of criticizing this site, you should be posting interesting and educative threads. Also, ignore trolls and stop being one. (And remember that one’s meffi is another one’s keki, and vice versa.)
If it’s about wasting your years on ktalk, what will @gashwin say?
This place has enough useful information to keep you here daily. I barely read meat wrappers other than BD. Here is where all the gazetis have been filtered and you get just highlights. Your thread imo is useless to us because it is personal opinion and your question isnt really a question
