How did the animals in Eden procreate before the Fall?

I’m convinced that all animals (mammals, amphibians, reptiles etc) were formed physically in their perfect state but without the power to function as mortal life forms until Adam and Eve partook of the fruit of the Tree of Knowledge of Good and Evil, and were cast out of the Garden. Only then did all living creatures begin to rely on the biological processes that are observed by us today which are associated with decay and growth, birth, regeneration and injury that compels fallen life to sustain itself.

@Ndindu what say you?

I am sure in the garden… There was procreation… They must have lived there for many years… Between creation and the fall out…

@messiahette at what point will you realize you might be following the doctrine of devils?

After God created everything, including man and woman, he commanded them to be fruitful and multiply. (Gen 1:28).

That was before the fall. I would think multiplying [increase in number] means procreation, even as @anon94046782 sed.

So, if animals could not procreate, did the plants also not pollinate? Or what would be the need if the number of animals was fixed.

What you suggest is that the creation became complete after sin and the fall of mankind, which is where we got private parts and wombs to multiply: This directly opposes Gen 1:28.

I think you post these controversial things for dialogue and entertainment, which is fine, or you simply love to ignore the word and pursue some secret knowledge. soon you will discover who is behind it.

We all know who has been invested in opposing and perverting the knowledge of God since the creation.

God makes sex fun and the only way to procreate… Religious types, its a sin to have fun

A lot of mental gymnastics and blatant disregard for logic is required to sustain belief in garden of eden myth.

Yes, right believing requires a level of mental gymnastics and blatant disregard for logic because there will always be facts to oppose God’s word.

That is why we walk by faith (what we believe) and not sight (facts on the ground). But what faith? Faith in God’s son-- Jesus Christ.

The battle is always in the mind. Once you conquer that, you are on your way to a winning spree in your walk with God.

I recommend to you this book “Battlefield of the Mind” by my all time favorite preacher

Once again, believing is a battle , to some extent.

“Be fruitful and multiply” doesn’t specifically refer to sexual reproduction.

If animals in Eden were procreating through sex, were they also having bowel movements? Did Adam and Eve urinate and have bowel movements in heaven? Did their feces have the foul smell of death or was it pleasant like perfume? They certainly could not have had lustful sex within the perfect Eden environment of holiness and perfection. I’m asking you these questions to make you aware about the state of Eden pre-Fall. Did Adam and Eve ever get tired at the end of each day, necessitating sleep or is sleep a result of the Fall? God rested on the sabbath day; does that mean He closed His eyes to sleep or rested while wide awake? Did God mandate resting on the sabbath day because He knew Adam and Eve would get tired or was the day simply set aside for worship?

All desires and passions of the flesh are ungodly. God allows it within marriage to partly accommodate the fallen state of our bodies but sex was not His perfect will. The New Testament makes that very clear. Anything which benefits the flesh sows death but that which grows the spirit man, leads to eternal life. Galatians 5:24. “Those who belong to Christ Jesus have crucified the flesh with its passions and desires.”
