The Government of Tanzania has set aside TZS 8.26 billion to construct three (3) mobile compressed natural gas (CNG) stations for vehicle fueling.
These mobile gas stations will be built in the Morogoro and Dodoma regions. Each will have the capacity to serve at least 300 vehicles per day.
The mobile stations will be supported by infrastructure that allows for efficient gas transfer and vehicle refueling—boosting the accessibility of clean energy transport solutions.
Gas will be delivered to these mobile stations from a central hub located at the University of Dar es Salaam area, ensuring smooth supply logistics.
This project marks another step toward green energy transition in Tanzania, promoting natural gas as a cleaner, more sustainable transport fuel.
