kHattuhitaji maji baridi coast pelekeni kasabuni
There’s a lot of ignorance in the comments, guys sometimes try research before commenting on some threads.
The law was passed a long time ago, it came into play about the same time as the one that says any building upwards of 4 floors should have an elevator.
It’s a descent law, to ensure saving power and warm water for tenants of the building, whether you bath cold or warm isn’t the issue here.
It’s also a step towards use of solar to replace the high electricity bills.
If embraced well we can even have our own solar power parts, factories in Kenya.
Personally I’m not stopping at solar water heating, I want to be independent of KPLC completely.
Yes, why not, you’ll only install one or two units.
Problem with Kenyan thinking less of other people, that’s why you do not see the point here, you only see the bed sitters.
You just identified a business opportunity, thank you.
Do the solar heaters have temp regulation, ama unafungua tap unapata boiling water
unaishi wapi,? si you balance it the way you want…
What do you mean by balance, where I live unaweka karai na maji and in like 10-15 minutes its warm. I am sure that solar heater would have the same boiling in a couple minutes.
Lakini swali ni, do the solar heaters have a way of regulating the water temp, ama it comes out how the sun heated it.
first of all, whoever came up with this regulations is indifferent to what is on the ground. unaweka hizo panels na units zote kwa flat wanaoga na karai
Kwa kifupi tafadhali.mimi hupasha maji kwa drum…ok barrel ya oil,na kuni .does that affect me in any way?
Who can afford 120k at once? Is gov giving subsidy for such? I did my studies abroad in 90s and im sure you as well but still I didn’t see home owners forced to install that thing. Instead by installing the solar panel the government buys electricity from you. You supply power to the grid. Every month you find there is a check coming to your door step. And by the way who told you that most electricity bill inaishia kwa bafu?maji itself hakuna , so why yap electricity?
I know you are a true pscho-pant :D:Dwa jubilee but other things musituletee.hope some guys sues to stop this madness. Whoever has that container ya solar panels aungue pOle pole
Exactly
My respectable friend , how will they know I consume 100l a day kwa showering ? Ama it’s this inspection they are talking of?
Water isn’t readily available, sema misplaced priorities. We aren’t in touch with reality
If I install a functional high capacity electrical solar system, can I be allowed to charge tenants in a residential flat for the power they consume or do I have to include the amount in the rent?
If you install panels that heat water above the capacity of the storage tanks or that heat water faster than it is used, water that is already hot is recirculated back to the panels where it will start boiling producing loud cracking sounds that are very scary.
I think this is one installation where you will have to let qualified technicians with the necessary knowledge install for you.
Yes, ALL solar products are exempt from V.A.T.
On the ground the story is very different the uptake of solar product has bn rising steadily for the last five years yet most of these homeowners are not aware such a law exists.
Who said the water is only used in the bathroom? The water can also be use in the kitchen .
I know you are a true pscho-pant :D:Dwa jubilee but other things musituletee.hope some guys sues to stop this madness. Whoever has that container ya solar panels aungue pOle pole
As always you are bn petty, its exactly what i was talking about we fight everything just for the sake of it or out of ignorance This law is 6yrs old.
Lakini swali ni, do the solar heaters have a way of regulating the water temp, ama it comes out how the sun heated it.
The system come with a thermal controller .
great, thats a part that I have never got my mind around, I know in hot water system they place a cold tap and a hot tap, and some a mix of the two, but I guess my fear is always getting burned by opening up the hot water tap, or shower.
the notice is conflicting somehow, ama ni mimi sielewi, or choose not to, but they mention 100ltrs per day then state the minimum threshold for residential units is 3 bedrooms, not sure how they will define a bedroom, is it a room with a bed or what criteria will they use.
But I think they are mostly targeting new constructions, especially those that are for sale, otherwise its too ambiguous especially on how they will quantify that 100 ltrs per day.
