So you mean there is AIDS and there is HIV? How do people get AIDS without getting HIV?

AIDS simply stands for acquired immunodeficiency syndrome. In layman’s terms AIDS simply means a person having a severely weakened immune system. And syndrome simply refers to a collection of diseases.

Now if you took time to google you will learn that there are several factors that can weaken your immune system. Example, malnutrition, use of hard drugs, chemotherapy, lack of exercise, constantly eating junk and highly processed food etc.

All these factors can contribute to your immune being deficient (weak or damaged) hence making you susceptible to infection and diseases.
