Joho created the sidewalks on the Dolphin Stage -Serena Road.The road is like 2 km
The Shanzu-Water Road was cabropaved
The Pride In Road which is like 2 km in is cabropaved.
So in my parents area,the roads have been done quite well.
I have seen the same in Nyali.The Nyali Customs Road was tarmacked by Joho in his first term.The Bombolulu- Links Road is also cabropaved.So are many roads in Komgowea.
I am no fan of Zuzusultan Pharmacist#001 because of poor garbage collection which led to the breeding of Aedes mosquitoes and the subsequent Chikungunya,Onyongnyoong epidemics(it is just luck it was not the likes of West Nile and Zika) but when it comes to my home area with regards to roads,there has been some progress.
The most damaged roads in Mombasa are actually KenHa and Government roads.Starting with B8,Kenyatta Avenue and the old Mombasa Malindi Road which even has a tree growing from the tarmac at the Utange Junction.

Lumuumba Road(And it is like all Lumuumba Roads in this country),Mwageka and Makande Roads are under the National Government. The former is by KenHa while the latter are repaired by KURA(though I think Mwageka should be a County Road, and lorries should stop using it as parking)
Waache kupea ule Mhindi Lumuumba Road, he is like these contractors Sonko has taken on who use tarmac that lasts one rainy season. The National Government has focused on building new roads in Mombasa but little on maintaining existing ones.
Bamburi there is plenty of cabropaving going on. Some places hawawezi weka sababu those places are considered illegal settlements, like the ones close to Bamburi Cement. Waliambiwa wasijenge huko wakajenga, sasa wanasema eti Bamburi Cement iende na waliikuta hapo!!
If you were telling me Changamwe(Which Joho seems to neglect) has road issues, even parts of Mvita(Ganjoni’s back streets and Shimanzi.Wueh!) and Likoni, it would be a different story. But Kisauni, Nyali, parts of Mvita , the county roads are not so bad and in many cases, they are in good condition. Better than the crap Nairobians have btw.
