What a foolish statement. Since when does CBD uptown encompass the entirety of Nairobi. Huezi tembea kibera get one clean place and declare there are no slums in that whole location. Similarly you cannot nitpick single locations in a whole county and declare hiyo ndiyo Nairobi.
90% of Nairobi is filthy and disgusting unless you’ve been living under a rock. These days ata lavington na Karen takataka na sewage are slowly creeping in. The point is Nairobi is a disgusting and filthy location living inside a cocoon doesn’t change that fact
The slums occupy only 10% of Nairobi’s landmass. The rest of the land mass is kina runda, Karen, muthaiga, ridgeways, Lavington etc. So Nairobi should not be judged by the 10% slum area but by the other 90%. Same way we judge Los Angeles by the 90% good areas like Beverly hills, rodeo drive etc and not by the 10% occupied by homeless people.
