He's Punishing Ruto

Ruto anateseka sana sasa. I yold you guys there’s very few real business men in Kenya. Wengi hutegemea titi la serikali.

If you want to grow as a business man. Avoid government tits. Pambana na maisha. Don’t be enticed by easy money from government.

You will suffer and struggle, but mwishowe, you will make it

Yeah, the strategy is fuck the system!

Someni the finance act 2023/24. With 67% of the PSV market there’s a shitstorm heading towards the industry and the kamzae amesema mbaya mbaya…
There is a proposed new MVT (Motor Vehicle Tax) at 2.5% of the vehicles value with a min and max threshold 5000 - 100000.
The MVT is to be paid by insured persons with the insurers of motor vehicles required to collect and remit the MVT within (5)five days! Failure of the insurer to collect and remit the MVT will attract a penalty of 50% of the uncollected tax.
That’s it. Insurance premiums are guaranteed to rise by 5k-100k. Regardless of whether it’s third-party or comprehensive.!! A 1M jalopy=12.5k… A 5M PSV= 125k extra!!! Fares in all routes will rise, cost of transportation likewise. Affording comprehensive insurance will be a luxury

Hata kiprono amefunguka macho

Huyu sk got favors from the handshake. Akule ujeuri yake. Meffi yeye

Hiyo insurance bill will affect many businesses. Hata fare zitapanda

What is the logic of a maximum threshold?? Niliwaambia hizi sheria are meant to pipinya anyone worth less than $1M nikatusiwa sana huku. All laws are designed to favor that group of about 10,000 Kenyans. Everyone else is just a KRA pin number, ID number, and voter. Hao ndio wenye nchi.

Wanataka mtu akinunua Range Rover ya over 20 million alipe same tax na mtu amebuy Harrier ya 4 million. This is just one of the 100 ways the elite lawmakers make laws that only serve them but most Kenyans are too dumb to look into the details.

Here are other examples:

Rental income is taxed at 7.5% and it was reduced from 10%. Who owns rental apartments?? The elite.

Dividends are taxed at 5%. Who are the largest shareholders in companies?? The elite.

Meanwhile, most working class Kenyans pay over 30% in PAYE. They pay VAT at 16% etc. Although the elite also pay VAT, its just a tiny portion of their expenditure.

Ukikaa chini na kalamu and analyze laws and policies, utarealize most of them favor wealthy people in a very covert way but most peasants are illiterate so they don’t bother to know how the system works.

Some of the few policies that I think kinda affect the elite is a one Minimum Topup Tax (MTT) for multinationals with annual turnover of more than €750M at 15%, and a rescicion of CGT and income tax reliefs for family trusts…
The rest ni mostly ni purely kufira hustlers except few peanuts like tea packaging, mayai, vitunguu and viazi from EAC will not attract a 25% excise tax. The Export Promotion Levy is full of goodies to Nabii Indian buddies like the reduction of levy for clinker export to 10%, exporting chuma the levy is zero-rated from 17.5%. Reading that thing is like reading some doomsday prophecy…
